My name is Inês, I am 23 years old and I come from the north of Portugal (no, I don´t speak Spanish, I speak portuguese, the same language as Cristiano Ronaldo). At the moment, I am living in Seinäjoki and I am doing an EVS project – European Voluntary Service – in the city youth department. In 2012 I started studying journalism in University of Coimbra (the Portuguese city of students and a place that is described by this unique Portuguese word “saudade”, which means the feeling of missing something or someone).  In 2015, when I graduated, I started my master´s degree in Journalism and Communication in the same institutions and finished it last year (2017). Writing is one of my great passions as well as travelling and communicating with people.

Different boats, same direction

EVS-vapaahtoisuus on Inêksellä puolessa välissä. Yhteinen viikko muiden samassa tilanteessa olevien kanssa synnytti kauniin pohdiskelevan tekstin, joka on luettavissa Englannin ohella myös Suomeksi.

Kismet, salmiakki tai korvapuusti?

Miten maistuu portugalilaiselle toimittajallamme suomalaiset herkut? Video katsottavissa nyt Youtubessa!

Mitä on EVS?

Inês kertoo mistä on kyse EVS-vapaaehtoisuudessa, miten osaksi sitä voi hakeutua ja päästä.
